    NEW DELHI: Congress leader Arvinder Singh Lovely resigned from his post as city president of the grand old party on Sunday, citing the alliance with AAP as his reason.
    He submitted his resignation letter to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge.
    In his letter Lovely said that all unanimous decisions taken by the senior Delhi Congress leaders have been unilaterally vetoed by the AICC general secretary (Delhi In-charge).
    "Since my appointment as DPCC President, the AICC General Secretary (Delhi In-charge) has not allowed me to make any senior appointments in the DPCC. My request for the appointment of a veteran leader as Media head of DPCC was blatantly rejected. To date, the AICC General Secretary (Delhi In-charge) has not allowed the DPCC to appoint all Block presidents in the city. Resultantly more than 150 blocks in Delhi do not presently have a Block President," he said.

    NEW DELHI: Former Delhi minister Arvinder Singh Lovely, who resigned from the post of state Congress chief last week over the party’s alliance with AAP, joined BJPfor the second time on Saturday. With him, former Delhi minister Raj Kumar Chauhan, who had also left Congress in May 2019 but had returned within a few months, ex-MLAs Naseeb Singh and Neeraj Basoya, who also quit the grand old party a few days ago, and former Youth Congress president Amit Malik also joined the BJP at the saffron party's headquarters in the Capital.
