BRIEF HISTORY
The University of Northeastern Philippines College of Law was founded by the late former Governor of the Province of Camarines Sur, Hon. Felix O. Alfelor, Sr. (UP Law, ). The dream of founding a law school anchored on the patriotic ideals of the national hero Apolinario Mabini had been in the works since the former Mabini Memorial Colleges was given University status and became the University of Northeastern Philippines. The Founder belived that the opening of law school woule bring the vison of development in his beloved province closer to achievement.
Therefore towards the end of the ’s, the founder applied for the permit to offer the program Bachelor of Laws. The program was finally opened in with the founder’s second son, Atty. Felix R. Alfelor, Jr. (UP Law ) as its first Dean. Atty. Alfelor, a Master of Law Graduate of Cornell University, New York, USA, a former Constitutional Convention Delegate to the Constitution later became a 3-termer Congressman of the 4th now 5th District of Camarines Sur.
Through its 30 years of existence, the UNEP College of Law was able to produce numerous graduates who are now in government as prosecutors, judges, hearing officers and legal officers and in private practice.
